BOOK REVIEW: LEAP OF FAITH BY DANIEL STEEL.

PLOT SUMMERY:

"Marie-Ange Hawkins has the rich kid's childhood that other kids dream about. She has freedom, love, security in a beautiful old French chateau. But when Marie-Ange is only 11, a tragic accident marks the end of her idyllic life. Orphaned now, and alone, she is sent to America, to live with her great-aunt on a farm in Iowa. Her aunt really resnts her deeply, and cuts her off from all she has ever loved.
In Marie-Ange's lonely existence, only the friendship of a local boy, Billy Parker, offers comfort and hope to her. But her only wish is to gain comfort and escape. Looking at the summery plot, the story actually does sound interesting. What the readers don’t know is how many flaws and weird happenings does this book contains.
This girl marie-ange makes some very insane decisions in whole of the book, the concept that parentless kids don’t know what’s good for them , well our heroin marie-ange takes this concept to a whole new level. I mean true that she had no parents but for the love of everything good use your common sense.
Lets look at each of the things tht marie ange did seperatley:

While I get that Jay Asher's "Th1rteen r3asons why" has a really deep meaning and a really good point, I still couldn't stop laughing at some of the reason Hannah went into her so called depression!
Here are the reasons and why i found them stupid!

"#1. Justin Foley, the first boy Hannah had ever kissed, who lies and exaggerates the event by saying that they had gone further. This gives Hannah a negative reputation at her new school."

Usually when a rumour starts about you, you don't know who's the person who started it, but when you are 100% sure that that person started the rumour well lets just say you take matter in your own hands, but that's not what Hannah does! oh no, she just let Justin Foley spread rumour about her!

THE PERSON I HATE THE MOST.

I came to my college thinking finally ill be able to relax , that one personality that I completely hate would not be there to annoy me out of my wits.

How happy was I, thinking that air would be clean again, sound waves not so annoying the sight so smooth and not of that dreaded creature. I could almost hear glass shattering when I spotted my worst nightmare standing there looking all smug gazing at the notice board. I would have turned around and went back to the car if it hadn’t been for my best friend who dragged me along to the notice board to look our names up .His ‘’hello’’ was enough to make me realize that next two years I would be in immense pain, for that guy was the person that I’ve hated all my life, and its just my luck that he happens to be everywhere that I go.

THE FACEBOOKERS AND THEIR TYPES..

 After staying up 4 nights in a row, after careful observation, even more careful analyses i have come to realize that there are 15 different kinds of people on face book (ha ha you thought i did something worthwhile didn't ya??)

REBECCA BLACK EXPLAINS HER SONG FRIDAY...

One of our many habits is to check random videos! A few days back my friend showed me a video where Rebecca black explains the meaning of her song "Friday", so i wrote it down for you guys to read...........

"People just don't get it, they really just don't get the song, I am surprised when people hear my song Friday and think its just a breezy pop song. The writers Clarence jay and Patrice Wilson really layered the song with a lot  of hidden meaning and I really don't think the people pick up on it the first time they hear it. What real meaning to the song is that it comes from a really-a really deep and a really painful place."

WHY OH WHY WOULD YOU MAKE BREAKING DAWN MOVIE IN TWO PARTS?

When I heard that Harry Potter and the deathly hallows were going to be made in 2 parts, I was actually happy. 'cause you know the 7th book has a lot of important information that couldn't be cut out easily.
But when I heard that Stephenie Meyers wanted "breaking dawn" to be made in 2 parts too, I was WTH! Honestly why are they making it in 2 parts? 
Was the vampires showing off their power  throughout the book so freaking important that they couldn't sum it up in one movie???

"I am down. I wanna do it. The story absolutely warrants two films. It would be a six-month shoot if we made two movies back-to-back, compared to a three-month shoot. It would be much more satisfying to do two films, because we wouldn't have to drop so much of the story; it wouldn't be like, 'Well, we didn't get to do this scene, this scene or this scene.' You'd get less of that — which would be good."

THE WORST SONG IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!

Okay by now you guys must have heard the all incredible voice of Rebecca black and her awesome lyrics of the song "Friday" (yes I am being sarcastic)
Am sorry girl but your song "Friday" might be the most terrible thing I have ever heard in my entire life! and its lyrics *shudders*...You know usually when 2 billion people criticize someone works there must be a very good reason behind it but no, sadly Rebecca black still insists that she has a good voice!!!
And who was her lyricist!? or did she wrote that pathetic excuse for a song herself??  
You know I even tried analysing her, thinking maybe it has some really really really deep meaning I was over looking. Here's what I came up with..

THE CURIOUS CASE OF RAYMOND DAVIS.

In the last few weeks, tensions have escalated between the U.S. and Pakistan. The media has dubbed it “a diplomatic row,” but even that phrase is a gross oversimplification of the situation, which is now a convoluted, complex mess. The center of the controversy is an American allegedly named Raymond Davis who, on January 27, killed two brothers in Lahore, different news have entirely different points of views on the why part.

According to Mr davis statement, it was purely for self defense but other details and eye witnesses explain otherwise. The incident happened in broad daylight in part of Lahore called Mazang.

Two men on a motorcycle were shot dead by Davis ,as he explained that the men were attempting to rob him, according to the autopsy report the men were shot in the back, which contradicts Mr Davis’s statement of his reason.

INCEPTION ENDING (SPOILER ALERT)

So almost everyone has seen the amazing Inception .. and like us many of you will be wondering about the ending "whether the totem fell down or not" in simple word if Cob is back in reality or still stuck in dream world. after having a very looonnnggg debate on this subject with different people i have come to the conclusion that cob cam back to reality

-well for the starters cob is always wearing a wedding ring when he is in a dreamworld (in dreams he is still together wid Mal) and he wasn't wearing it in the end

IS RACISM AGAINST MUSLIM ACCEPTABLE??

why is that when someone says something against Jews or the holocaust in America they can get arrested for it but when they say something against our religion,Islam, its considered as freedom of speech?
I should clarify for all the people out there who might get the wrong meaning from the above statement that am NOT against Jews but i am against racism!

CAVE AGE , what happned????

We unfortunately cannot tell or state with evidence what a prehistoric man aka cavemen looked or behaved like. It is only with small artifacts,cave paintings and the sheer imaginative predictability of a human mind that we can tell how they might have acted in different situations.

Due to no recorded data(except a few artifacts found scattered and cave paintings) one can only use his imagination to think how a man who is so new to everything might act, for even a touch of wind gust is new to him .we can imagine that being a human the cavemen also had curiosity, we cannot deny that they would have even tried to lick or bite a rock if they got their hands on one while trying to quench the strange feeling they had in their stomach now modernly named as hunger, because its only human to experiment with our senses when we find something completely alien to us.

A land so foreign and frightening to them, that the cavemen tried to find a safe haven within which they could dwell for a time period without having a heart attack, which i might add also would have been new to them .the only place they felt save was when they wandered upon a small opening in the mountains, off course it was after sometime that they entered it because a gaping black hole in an unknown place is not considered safe even now in the modern times, again one can only use his or her imagination on what might have happened and caused the caveman to enter it, an animal or even a thunder perhaps.

NEED FOR EDUCATION!

Reading about my heritage actualy makes me sad, yes i know my heritage is awesome! i mean come on i come from a line of muslims scholars, whos works in arts , literature and science were exceptional and ofcourse without their work the world as we know would not have existed, for example Muhammad ibn Musa Khwarizmi who is known for his renowned book "Calculation with Hindu Numerals". khwarizmi is often known as the father of algebra for his fundemental contribution in the field. Then theres Ibn-e-battuta, the great muslim traveller and scholar. The example of muslim contribution in science and arts are countless!. Our fathers made contributions in geography, astronomy, medicine and what not. Yes there is absolutely no doubt that our forefathers were bloody brilliant!!

everyone who notices an oxymoron tends to point it out immediately,since its fun to do so, oh all right we do that but still...
anyway, even we were fooled this time, we didn't realize the biggest oxymoron was tossed around endlessly in front of our very eyes.
yes , we are talking about a book series and its movie that has been the center of attention for a while now.
so there fore before i reveal the biggest oxymoron, i might thank the author for giving it to us.

JUST REALIZED IT ....

i was watching Dr horrible's sing along blog (again!!) and i just realized that we still havent ( oh universe forgive us for we have sinned..lolz) done a single post on Neil Patrick Harris. oh wait we have done one post but its hardly enough, i mean the guy is awesome, or should we say (as barney stinson whould anyway.) legen...wait for it dary..legendary!!!

Now i have always bin the person who admires a great art whether it may be in a form of writing or paint and I whole heartedly agree with Meg cabot character "mel" from the novel guy next door that Stephen king is definitely this century writer...i mean cmon dude! tht guy is a freaking genius! and no doubt his comparison between stephenie meyer and jk rowling made me admire him more.... saying that both authors were "speaking directly to young people". "The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good," he told an interviewer from USA Weekend.
And by god is he right or what? I noe i noe all you twihards(who named u guys twihards btw? does nybody find tht name funny or is it just me!?) are gona jump in rage (so wht else is new?) about how jealous that guy is for sayin tht heinous comment.
bcuz obvsly a guy who has sold over 350 million copies not to mention the numerous awards he has won will get jealous by a person who has sold 50 million copies....

FREEDOM OF SPEECH,WHEN IS IT TOO MUCH !?!?!?!!

okay we get that freedom of speech is something that is very much valued by the western society, but when does it reach the point tht it starts to hurt other people???
There is a difference between freedom of speech and common sense. Though it seems like these days common sense is a foreign concept to the western world!
The strongly i believe that freedom of speech is important i also sometimes believe that practicing it may hurt other people,
what happened or is suppose to happen today on 20 may is not something to be proud of, cuz it is not freedom of speech.
you people may find this hard to believe but this whole world does not significantly revolve around you. You say freedom of speech is everything and we agree, you go and [naozunbillah] draw pictures of our holy prophet [s.a.w] that I m afraid to say we cannot agree on,
you make fun of us, you call us deprived of freedom, you call Muslims terrorists, you deliberately hold us at airports to thoroughly check our luggage again and again, we take it quietly, but if you thought that this was also gonna be taken quietly you were sadly mistaken. there is a limit to everything.
by doing this you did not only show ur real self but also how the so called neutral ppl are also biased in reality.
